What is the active ingredient in Children's Pepto?
The active ingredient in Children's Pepto is an antacid called calcium carbonate. There are 400 mg of calcium carbonate in each Children's Pepto chewable tablet.


Is this the same active ingredient that is in Pepto-Bismol?
Children's Pepto contains the active ingredient calcium carbonate, which is different than the active ingredient in Pepto-Bismol. The active ingredient in Pepto-Bismol is bismuth subsalicylate.


Does Children's Pepto contain salicylates?
Salicylates are not added to the Children's Pepto formula.

No, Children's Pepto does not contain aspirin.


Does Children's Pepto treat diarrhea?
Children's Pepto relieves heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach, and upset stomach due to these symptoms or overindulgence in food and drink. It doesn't treat diarrhea.


Is there a Children's Pepto product that treats diarrhea?
We don't make a Children's Pepto that treats diarrhea. If your child has diarrhea, we recommend you talk to your pediatrician for advice.

Children's Pepto is labeled with dosing instructions just for children. People 12 years of age and older can try Pepto-Bismol to treat symptoms.
